

Ernest F. “Ernie” Veader Sr., age 81, of Rehoboth, passed away peacefully Monday, April 27, 2015 at his residence. He was the husband of Kathryn R. “Kay” (Murray) Veader to whom he has been married for the past 38 years.
Born in Rehoboth, a son of the late Joseph and Mary “Gloria” (Medeiros) Veader, he had been a lifelong resident of Rehoboth.
A graduate of Bristol County Agricultural High School, class of 1952, he was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War as a Sergeant.
Mr. Veader worked at Burnett Ford in Rehoboth and as a construction equipment salesman for AGT, Schmidt, Rainbow Power, and Baker Tractor companies for many years. He enjoyed working on tractors and trucks and served on the board of directors for the Rehoboth Council on Aging.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one son: Ernest F. “Ernie” Veader Jr. and his wife Jackie of Rehoboth, two daughters: Linda DeWolfe of Pawtucket, Patricia Richards and her husband Steven of North Providence, RI, two step-daughters: Kristin Carden and her husband Derrick of Rehoboth, Kathryn “Peach” McCarthy of Rehoboth, one brother: Richard Veader and his wife Loretta of Seekonk, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 3:00PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardner’s Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours prior to his service from 1:00 to 3:00PM.
