Estelle I. (Roy) Woodruff, age 97, of Riverview, FL and a former longtime resident of both Swansea and Fall River, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Blessing Angels Assisted Living in Riverview, FL. She was the wife of the late Robert G. Woodruff.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Armand J. and Irene (Audet) Roy.
Estelle was a graduate of Jesus-Mary Academy and worked as a bookkeeper for various companies in Fall River. During different stages of her life, she enjoyed bowling, knitting and crocheting. Estelle was an avid reader all her life and for the past 18 years,
she enjoyed playing games on the computer with friends almost every night.
She is survived by two sons, Robert B. Woodruff and his wife Claudia of Cleveland, SC, and Scott M. Woodruff and his wife Linda of Hollis, NH; one daughter, Kelly A. Miller and her husband John of Riverview, FL; five grandchildren, Eric Woodruff, Alison Davis,
Stephanie Woodruff, Brandon Miller and Maegan Miller; five great-grandchildren, Brendon and Jordan Woodruff, and Colton, Samantha, and Wyatt Davis; four siblings, Armand Roy, Jr., Claire Riccardi, Paul Roy, and Murielle Pellerin as well as many nieces and nephews. Estelle was the sister of the late Claudette Thornton and Glorien Roy.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 9:00 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea, MA, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea.Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
