Evelyn J. Lindo

Evelyn J. Lindo, age 91, of Bourne, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 17, 2026, at The Residence at Cedar Dell in Dartmouth. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest C. Lindo for over 50 years.

Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Augustine and Genevieve Mendoza. In her early years, Evelyn worked as a medical secretary while she & her husband raised their two sons. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Ernie & also loved biking and walking along the Cape Cod Canal while spending summers there & eventually moving there later in life.

Evelyn found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, creating handmade treasures for family and friends. She was also a devoted animal lover, especially her beloved dogs, who brought her great companionship throughout the years.

She is survived by her two sons, Gary Lindo and his wife Lisa of Rehoboth, and Gregg Lindo and his wife Carol of Somerset; her three grandchildren, Rebecca Villandry and her husband Chris of North Dighton, Drew Lindo of Swansea, and Jeff Lindo and his wife Lauren, of Swansea; and her four great-grandchildren, Olivia and Sophia Villandry, and Mya and Brooks Lindo. She also leaves behind extended family members and friends who will fondly remember her joyful sense of humor, kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit.

Evelyn's family takes comfort in the many treasured memories they shared with her and in the lasting legacy of love she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
