Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Wargat) Boscoe.
After graduation, Frances went to work at Bridgestone/Firestone in Fall River as a Secretary for 53 years, retiring from Firestone in 2001.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Swansea Fire Department Station #1. She was also a “friend” of the Swansea and Somerset public libraries and a member of the Firestone bowling league. Frances travelled extensively with her husband, especially to golf resorts and historical locations including some cruises.
Besides her devoted husband, she is survived by one sister, Anna Albernaz of Somerset as well as four nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joan Cote and James Boscoe.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 8:30 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd, Swansea followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Ave, Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances’ honor may be made to the Russell P. Eddy Scholarship Fund, c/o Swansea Fire Department, Station #1, 50 New Gardner Neck Rd, Swansea, MA 02777.
