

He was born June 12, 1924 in Bristol Rhode, Island to the late Joseph and Mary Bragantin and moved to Port Charlotte 24 years ago from Swansea, Massachusetts. Frank was a retired oil burner serviceman and a veteran of World War II, U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Survived by his loving family, two daughters, Gertrude M. Pavao and Debra A. Paiva both of Swansea, MA; two sons, Frank O. Bragantin, Jr. of Swansea, MA and Joseph F. Bragantin of New Bedford, MA; two sisters, Mary Barbour and Lydia Carreiro both of Bristol, RI; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen R. Bragantin and a brother, Joseph O. Bragantin.
His Funeral will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 10:00AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, 189 Gardner’s Neck Rd., Swansea, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM in St. Dominic’s Church, 1277 G.A.R. Highway, Swansea. Visiting hours Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice, Inc., 4955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34234. Burial in Vinnicum Woods Cemetery, Swansea.
