Born in Warren, RI, the son of the late Antone and Eda A. (Moglia) Medeiros he was a lifelong resident of Swansea.
A veteran of the United States Navy, he served during World War II. Owner and operator of Lumb Motors in Pawtucket for over 4o years, he worked alongside his son, Allyn. A skilled sailor, he enjoyed sailing and later on in life motoring to Martha’s Vineyard and Block Island. He also enjoyed snowmobiling in Northern New England and Canada.
He is survived by one daughter, Robyn Medeiros of Fall River; one son, Allyn “Drew” Medeiros and his wife Mary Patricia of Beverly Hills, FL; three grandchildren, Christopher Medeiros, Marc Medeiros and his wife Stacy and Lisa Kelly and her husband Daniel; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Stephen T. and David A. Medeiros.
Visiting hours are Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM.
