Gail Gendron Lopes, age 70, of Swansea, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Mark Lopes, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Martha (Sanford) Gendron and the late Normand Gendron.

Gail was a secretary for several local businesses for many years before retiring. Gail was a master at crafts, sewing, and quilting. She made beautiful things and shared them with her many friends and loved ones. Gail was an extraordinarily kind, thoughtful, and funny person who loved spending time with her family and who quietly excelled in her roles as wife, mother, daughter, big sister, aunt, friend, and grandmother.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by her daughter, Janet Lopes and her husband David Shiels of Wrentham; her son, Gregory Lopes and his wife Lauren of Swansea; four grandchildren, Oliver, Norah, Leo, and Riley; and five siblings, Diane Maynard of Westport, Marie Gendron and her husband John Vitti of Watertown, Caroline Simon and her husband Keith of Swansea, Paula Gendron of Wilton, NH, and Peter Gendron of Swansea, and several nieces and nephews.
