Gail Ann Provost

Gail Ann (Doyle) Provost, 79, of Swansea, a woman of boundless curiosity and infectious warmth, passed on December 30th, 2025. Born in Fall River she was a daughter of the late David G. and Rita Doyle. Gail was the wife of the late Alan D. Provost and spent her final 15 years in adventure with her star-gazing companion, Pete Peterson.

Gail earned a Spanish degree from UMASS Amherst & masters degrees from UMASS Boston & Westfield State. She channeled her passion for helping children and families into a 20 year career as a bilingual school psychologist in the Taunton Public Schools.

Gail was fun, adventurous, and deeply connected to those in her family, book groups, social club & beyond. In under five minutes she turned many a stranger into a lifelong friend. She cherished her family & friends, nature walks, holidays, inventing silly party games, home improvement, cats, vacations on a shoestring and most of all in her last five years her grandson Bodhi.

Those who look to carry on the torch of her bright spirit are too many to name but include: Her daughter Erin, son Craig, grandson Bodhi, daughter-in-law Anita, sister Kate, brother-in-law Edward, brother David, sister-in-law Linda, sister-in-law Ann, brother-in-law Doug, brother-in-law David (Co), partner Pete, nieces: Mikayla, Tracey, Shana, Sarah, Jenna & her amazing cousins.

Private arrangements are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, Swansea.
