

Born in Chicago, Illinois, a son of the late George M. Robson Sr. and Margaret (Dumas) Robson, he spent most of his life in Chicago, moving to Rhode Island in 2009.
A Veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, he served during World War II as a Technical Sergeant. Murray worked as a Conductor for the Milwaukee Railroad for almost 40 years. After retiring, he supported his son’s business as the messenger for Robson Enterprises in Chicago. Murray had many hobbies, but he especially loved cultivating his vegetable garden, pheasant hunting, golfing, and working on his model railroad.
He is survived by three children: Margaret Luce and her husband James of Chicago, IL, Sheila Spreitzer and her husband Bill of Soux Falls, SD, and George Robson and his wife Elizabeth of Lincoln, RI, one brother: Robert Robson of St. Louis, MO, six grandchildren: Jim Luce and his wife Luisa, Shawnee Spreitzer, Theresa Robson, Maggie Luce, Daphne Robson and Ethan Robson. He was brother of the late Grace, Donna, Jean and Genevieve.
Private arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest.
