

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Lawlor) Blakey, she spent her youth in Fall River moving to Swansea over sixty years ago.
Mrs. Gauvin worked for the Town of Swansea as a Bus Driver for many years. She was a member of the East End Sportsman Club and volunteered for the Tiverton Senior Center and the Salvation Army. She enjoyed traveling, working with ceramics, knitting, and most of all her beloved dog Sam.
She is survived by seven children, Tiverton Police Chief Thomas Blakey and his wife Catherine of Swansea, Retired Fall River Police Lieutenant James Keighley and his wife Wendy of Somerset, Daniel Keighley and his wife Deidre of Swansea, Cheryl Kelly R.N. at RIVH and her husband Dennis Ferreira of Bristol, Cathy Keighley of Bristol, Jay Gauvin of Fall River, Joseph “Jody” Gauvin and his wife Kimberly of Fall River; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Edward Blakey and Elizabeth Kadlec.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 10:00AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Contributions in her honor may be made to the Tiverton Senior Center, 207 Canonicus St., Tiverton, RI 02878. Burial private.
