

Born in Manchester, England, he was the son of the late Harry and Bessie (Dodson) Jordan.
After high school Harry joined the United States Navy at sea working his way up to promotion as engine chief, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War. He then received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Salve Regina College and pursued a career in federal law enforcement.
He is survived by two sons, Kevin Jordan and his wife Laurie of Tiverton, and Christopher Jordan of Swansea; four grandchildren, Kyla Stringfellow and her husband Eric, Haley, Hannah, and Tyler Jordan; two great-grandchildren, Makenna and Addison Stringfellow as well as several nieces and nephews.
His Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 8:30 to 10:30 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial with Military Honors in Vinnicum Woods Cemetery, Swansea. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harry’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
