Born in New Brunswick, Canada, she was the daughter of Alton T. Cullins and Mildred M. (Downey) Cullins. Jaynet spent her formative years residing in Bridgewater Maine with her parents and brother Richard where she attended Bridgewater Classical Academy and enjoyed being a member of the debate, basketball and cheerleading teams. In her early years, she spent summers on Cape Cod's beaches with lifelong friends and relatives. After graduation, she made a permanent move to Cape Cod securing employment with New England Telephone as an Operator.
As a longtime resident of Swansea, Jaynet and her former husband Donald M. Simcock (deceased) owned and operated Swansea Orchards for many years where they raised their children, Lynn, Brian and Leslie. She possessed a tremendous work ethic, demanded honesty and dedication in all endeavors and instilled the same in her children. Many family vacations were spent by a lakeside cottage in Maine or New Hampshire where her children could enjoy what she did as a child, the outdoor life, which included trout fishing, water skiing and a few hiking adventures.
In later years, she secured employment with the Swansea Water District as administrative assistant until retiring to Vero Beach, Florida where she enjoyed playing golf and traveling with her good friend Ted Pettine. She enjoyed reading, gardening, baking, and was always first to help family and friends whenever and wherever she was needed. She was an active member in her Vero Beach community, The Vineyard, serving on various holiday committees where she always greeted folks with a beautiful smile and some good conversation.
Jaynet leaves behind her two daughters, Lynn E. O'Malley (husband R. Patrick O'Malley) of Vero Beach, Florida, Leslie A. Fayan (husband Louis F. Fayan, III) of Swansea. She was predeceased by her son, Brian R. Simcock formerly of Vero Beach, Florida. Two grandsons, Kyle L. Fayan of Beaumont, Texas, Ryan F. Fayan of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida and a brother Richard A. Cullins of Marsardis, Maine as well as several nieces and nephews.
