Jean F. (Getchell) Landry, “Jeanne,” age 87, of Swansea, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Canton, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Teresa (Tarpy) Getchell, she was a lifelong area resident.
In addition to being a homemaker, she was devoted to her family and cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by nine children, Donald Reid and his wife Debra of Carver, Steven Reid and his wife Deborah of Dedham, Joan Landry of Swansea, Cheryl Newman and her husband Ronald of Swansea, John Landry and his wife Susan of Somerset, Donna Pelletier of Fall River, Thomas Landry and his companion Lisa Carpenter of East Providence, Karen Reis of Fall River, William Landry of Fall River, twenty grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late George A. Landry III and Kelly Landry.
