Jeannette B. Dube

Born in Hartford, CT, a daughter of the late Alcide J. and Jeannette (Castonguay) Vermette, she came here in her youth after having been educated in CT and was a longtime communicant of St. Michael Church in Ocean Grove. Jeannette was employed as a quality control supervisor at the former Joan Fabric and later Main St. Textile Co. for twenty six years, retiring in 2004.

Mrs. Dube took courses at Bristol Community College and became certified in Waste Water Management. She was a very strong person who took care of many family members and friends. For many years she has been a Patriots fan, loved to cook and travel, formerly was a hockey mom in the Somerset Youth Hockey and was an EMT. She and her husband loved to attend and watch her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Surviving in addition to her husband, one son: Marcel C. Dube and his wife Jeanne R. of Somerset, twin grandchildren: Luke Joseph and Grace Donna Dube, one brother: George Vermette of Kissimmee, FL, and many nieces and nephews, sister and brother-in-laws: Adeline Griffin of East Hartford, Mathilda Sirois of Kissimmee, FL, Odile Earle of St. Agatha, ME, Stella Hayden of Whitman, MA, John Paul Dube of East Hartford, CT, Marie Dube of St. Agatha, ME, and Pauline Page of Vernon, CT.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11AM in St. Dominic Church, 1277 GAR Highway, Swansea. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Marie Poussepin Outreach Ministries, c/o Dominican Sisters, 3012 Elm St., Dighton,MA 02715. Arrangements are in the care of the Waring – Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, Swansea.
