John B. McIntosh, age 88, of Swansea, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. He was the husband of the late Constance Mae (Baker) McIntosh and the former husband of Alice Bullock McIntosh Solomito.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Alfred and Mary (Wood) McIntosh, he was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy.
An avid country music fan, he loved the sound of bagpipes, visiting Twin River Casino and his dog “Hoagie.”
He is survived by five children, Cynthia Sutherland and her husband Michael, Timothy McIntosh and his companion Nancy Phanuf, Susan Pacheco and her fiancé Carl Joyce, Scott McIntosh and Sandra Banville, all of Swansea; daughter-in-law, Judy Oliveria McIntosh of Swansea; son-in-law, Michael Vincelette of CT, fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Laura Vincelette and James McIntosh and father-in-law of the late Kenneth Banville.
Per John’s request, his Funeral Services will be private and are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, Swansea.
