Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Bessie (Helenda) Morrow.
Joyce graduated from Joseph Case High School and received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Northeastern University. She spent 40 plus years as a Cardiac and Pulmonary Physical Therapist for Southcoast Health, where her passions for caring for others impacted so many of her patients.
Joyce enjoyed taking in the many different sceneries of New England and was a lifelong lover of dogs, her favorite being terriers. Her most cherished passion was caring for her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Jamie Ramirez and her husband Juan of Ashland, Kyle Grusmark and his wife Wesley of Dorchester, and Kurt Grusmark and his wife Jessica of Braintree; one sister, Lynne of Coventry, RI; four grandchildren, Amelia and Cosette Ramirez, Connor and Blakely Grusmark, as well as many nieces and nephews all of whom she loved greatly.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 4:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce’s honor may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave,. SW120, Boston, MA 02215. Burial will be private.
