Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Eileen (Beauregard) Hamm.
Karen spent many years working as a beloved local cook, dedicating years of her life to the former Kents, Rudy’s, and Simply Simons before retiring in 2020. She took great pride in her work and in the connections she made with those around her.
Karen found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time at the beach and collecting sea glass, enjoying the outdoors, hiking, watching birds—especially hummingbirds—and tending to her plants. Above all, Karen cherished the time she spent with her family and friends, who brought her the greatest happiness.
Along with her husband, Karen is survived by her children, Amanda Lake and her husband, Timothy, of Stafford Springs, CT; Kelly-Ann Stidham and her fiancé, Wilfredo Rosa, of Swansea; Andrew Stidham of Swansea; and Juanita Stidham of Redding, CA. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Gage, Trent, Reanna, Seth, Ava, Wyatt, Kamrie, Kourtney, and Kali; her siblings, Rick Hamm, Gail Hamm, Paul Hamm, Pat Travers, Paula Storey, Mark Hamm, and Tim Hamm; her dog, Mocha; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.
Her visitation will be held Monday, September 28, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private.
