Born in Woonsocket, RI a daughter of the late John and Kathryn (Mullery) Cavanaugh she was a longtime resident of Swansea.
A graduate of Joseph Case High School she worked as a telephone operator for 35 years before retiring in 1995. Proud of her Irish heritage and her home, she was a spirited woman who always enjoyed a holiday celebration. An avid reader she especially enjoy murder mysteries and suspense. Shopping, traveling, going to the beach, the Patriots and Red Sox were some of what she enjoyed but mostly her uninterrupted hour for Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.
She is survived by one daughter, Kerri Mullen and her husband Peter of Woodstock, GA; two sons, Timothy and his wife Pamela Gauvin-Fernandes of Assonet and Thomas Fernandes of Swansea; and five grandchildren, Reiley Mullen, Megan Mullen, John Fernandes, Abigail Fernandes and Bailey Mullen. She was the sister of the late John Cavanaugh.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea followed burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea. Contributions in her honor may be made to New England Donor Services, 60 1st Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
