Kathryn E. Jones, “Kathy”, age 73, of Swansea, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Alfred V. and Anna H. (Hart) Jones.
Kathy graduated from the former Mt. St. Mary’s Academy, Class of 1968, and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Education from Southeastern Massachusetts University, now UMass Dartmouth.
An educator for many years, she taught for the New Bedford School System, St. Vincent’s Home and the Swansea Wood School, retiring as an Education Administrator.
She was a communicant of Our lady of Peace Parish in Somerset. Always active, she was a member of the Y.M.C.A., belonged to a bowling league, and enjoyed playing pickleball and bocce.
Kathy will be greatly missed by all who knew her and had the opportunity to share in her life.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 10:00 AM in St. Louis de France Church, 56 Buffinton St., Swansea. Burial private. Arrangements are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, Swansea.
