Leonardo "Lenny" E. Concepcion, Sr.

Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, a son of Patricia (Poore) Teniente of California and the late Rogelio “Roger” Teniente.

A United States Army retiree, Lenny served for 22 years before retiring as a Sergeant. He worked at the Newport Naval Base as heavy equipment operator and diesel mechanic for many years before retiring. He was a dedicated communicant at St. Theresa’s Church in Tiverton, a member of the American Legion, DAV, the AM Vets in Somerset and he loved riding his Harley Davidson. A kind-hearted jokester, Lenny was a genuine, loyal and respectful friend, but most importantly a loving father, grandfather, son and brother, he will be greatly missed by all but especially by his four children, three grandchildren, his German shepherd Buddy and his 200 pound pet pig named Ham.

In addition to his mother survivors include: four children, Leonardo “Lenny” E. Concepcion, Jr. and his wife Melissa of Swansea, Danielle Concepcion of Fall River, Jonathan Bouchard of West Warwick and Anthony Concepcion also of Tiverton; three grandchildren, Veronica Concepcion, Logan Concepcion-Reis and Hunter Concepcion; seven siblings, Nicascio “Nick” Concepcion and his wife Lori, Miguel “Mike” Concepcion and his wife Karen, Lolita “Lolly” Macomber, Teresa Trillo and her husband, John, Michelle “Mimi” Reis and her husband Martine and Rogelio “Roger” Teniente and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother-in-law of the late, Brian Macomber.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea.

Due to current restrictions on public gatherings, funeral mass and burial will be private for immediate family only.

Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the Fall River Veterans Kitchen, 602 Third Street, Fall River, MA 02721 and/or St. Theresa’s Church, 265 Stafford Road, Tiverton, RI 02878.

Arrangements are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, Swansea.
