Born in Fall River, a daughter of Earl and Lois (Welsh) Britland of Swansea, she lived in Warren, RI for over 20 years, moving to Swansea 6 years ago. She was a graduate of Case High School, Class of 1979.
She worked as a cook for Cozy Kitchen in Barrington for the past 7 years. The joy of her life was spending time with her
granddaughters and her children. She was the most wonderful, helpful, loving human being and the strongest women we know.
Surviving in addition to her parents: a daughter: Erica L. Mello and her father Richard Mello, a son: Craig D. Cummings and his father David Cummings, four sisters: Catherine Blakey and her husband Thomas Blakey, Elizabeth Cowman and her husband James, Joanne Britland and her companion Marc Jean all of Swansea, Donna Whittemore of Colorado, a brother: Earl F. Britland and his wife Linda of Severeville, TN, two granddaughters: Nyla and Jayla, several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog: “Bentley”.
Her funeral will be Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 10:00am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends invited. Burial Private.
