Loretta L. (Abrain) Morais, age 91, passed away peacefully Monday, November 15, 2021 in Adviniacare Southpoint.

Born in New Bedford and raised in Warren, a daughter of the late J. Arthur and Lillian (Gordon) Abrain she was a longtime resident of Swansea.

A graduate of Warren High School she worked at Warren Elastic, was the owner and operator of Dwarf Nursery in Swansea, a bookkeeper for Aetna Insurance and owned Elaine’s Country Store in Tiverton. Loretta was also a dedicated and active member of the American Legion in Swansea, Post #303. She loved spending time with her family and adored her dogs. She enjoyed baking and was a crossword puzzle and word search enthusiast.

She is survived by one son, Frank M. Garcia and his wife Terry of Tiverton; two daughters, Betty Wieczorek of Tennessee and Nancy Garcia of Florida; three grandchildren, Serinity Johnson, Trevor Goins and Jennifer Rose Garcia; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Oscar A. Abrain and Terry Garaffa.

Her visitation will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. Contributions in her honor may be made to the American Lung Association, 25 Spring Street, Walpole, MA 02081.
