

Lorraine (LeBlanc) Tafe, age 95, of Swansea, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Kimwell Nursing and Rehabilitation in Fall River after a brief illness. She was the loving wife of the late Fred Tafe.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Frank and Yvonne (Richard) LeBlanc, she was a lifelong resident of the area.
Lorraine was a server for many years at several local restaurants including the Grand Diner, Granite Block Spa and Longhorn Restaurant for many years before retiring. She enjoyed playing bingo, line dancing, doing crossword puzzles and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include: one son, Michael Tafe and his wife Christine of Hopkinton; three daughters, Maureen Seymour of Swansea, Kimberly Kornegay and her fiancé Joe Castro of Somerset and Kellie Peterson of Swansea; son-in-law, Wayne Brightman; eight grandchildren, Christine Desmarais and her husband Richard, Tracie Ferneza and her husband Scott, Robyn Rego and her husband Rich, Jason Brightman and his wife Melissa, Dawn Jagannath and her husband Sunil, Justin Tafe, Meghan Vadakekalam and her husband Jake and Kyle Kornegay and his wife Tara; eleven great grandchildren, Corey, Kasie, Nicholas, Wyatt, Aria, Pari, Layla, Jameson, Tyler, Ashley and Lillyanna; several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Suzanne Brightman, mother-in-law of the late William Seymour and Stephen Kornegay and sister of the late George LeBlanc, Anita Maxwell and Constance Bohun.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11:00 am in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd. Swansea. Burial is private.
