Born in Attleboro, the daughter of the late James and Mary (Torres) Anelunde, she has been a long time area resident.
A graduate of Attleboro High School, class of 1951, she was employed as Data Entry Operator with Aetna Insurance for 20 years until her retirement in 1989. She enjoyed bingo, gardening and was an avid reader.
Mrs. Norton is survived by her five children, Steven Norton of Swansea, Janice Norton and her partner Denise Beauregard of Little River, SC, Carol Smith and her husband James of Somerset, John Norton of Cape Coral, FL and Mary Lewis and her husband Timothy of Fall River; three grandchildren Erin Lewis, Katherine Lewis and Allison Smith; a brother Tobia Anelunde and his wife Claire of Hyannis; a sister Irene Hiatt and her husband Jack of Attleboro and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Theolinda Zahigian, Mary Simons and Dorothy Dalpe.
The Norton family would like to thank the staff at Southcoast Oncology at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Swan Brook Assisted Living and Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, for compassionate care they have showed Louise over the years.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 10am in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8pm. Contributions in her honor may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services
