

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Frank and Gilda (Keaton) Moniz, she was a lifelong resident of Swansea.
A graduate of Joseph Case High School, Class of 1956, she worked in the cafeteria for the Swansea School Department for many years before retiring in 1985.
A member of the Swansea Pitch League, Maggie enjoyed playing cards, bingo and Mah- Jongg. She loved the New England Patriots and was a huge Tom Brady fan.
She is survived by one son, Roy A. Fonseca of Swansea; three grandchildren, Jeff, Tyler and Felica Fonseca, many nieces, nephews and cousins including Mary Chamberlain and her husband Nathaniel of Swansea. She was the mother of the late Rodney Fonseca, Roland J. Fonseca, Jr., Patricia Fonseca and sister of the late Robert Moniz and Harold “Harry” Moniz.
Her visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardeners Neck Rd., Swansea followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Dominic’s Church, 1277 G.A.R. Highway. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
