

He was the devoted husband of the late Theresa (Cupolo) Costa whom he selflessly cared for while sick until her passing in 2007. They were married for 53 years.
Born in Rehoboth, a son of the late Manuel and Emma (Pacheco) Costa, he was a lifelong resident of Rehoboth.
A Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he served during the Korean War as Corporal and was the recipient of the Medal of Valor. He retired as a Machine Operator from the Kaiser Wiring and Cable Factory, having worked in both Bristol and Portsmouth.
Manny loved carpentry and gardening and was quite handy. If he wasn’t lending a helping hand, he was checking in on friends or volunteering at the Rehoboth Senior Center or Food Pantry. He enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and NASCAR. His favorite times spent were with his family singing karaoke and making memories.
He is survived by two sons; Kenneth Costa and his wife Maryanne of Riverside, RI, Stephen Costa and his wife Dawn of Rehoboth; one brother, Albert Costa of Somerset; six grandchildren, Amy, Aaron, Jacob, Torii, Ryan, Samuel; eight great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Cooper, Penny, Phin, Lincoln, Adaline, Emerson, Annabeth and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Dorothy Ancone, Anthony Costa, Joseph Costa, Florence Charron, Angie Costa, Alice Marcoux, Sally Schneible, Katie Rego and Irene DeCosta.
His Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:30AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea, followed by his Funeral Service at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Contributions in his honor may be made to the Rehoboth Senior Center, 75 Francis Farm Rd., Rehoboth, MA 02769. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
