Margaret H. Neilan

Margaret H. (Patenaude) Neilan, age 92, of Somerset, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at her residence. She was the wife of the late William A. Neilan.

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Francis and Helen (Logan) Patenaude, she lived in Raynham for many years before moving to Somerset over fifty years ago.

A graduate of the former Scared Hearts Academy, she attended Bryant College. In addition to being a homemaker and raising her children, she was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Boston Bruins. She loved to read and travel especially to Disney. She is survived by four daughters, Lynn Clift and her husband James of Coventry, Christine Alves and her husband Christopher of Swansea, Simone Neilan of Fall River, Nicole Ryan and her husband Michael of Johnston; four sons, William Neilan and his wife Sheila of RI, James Neilan and his wife Susan of Swansea, Mark Neilan and his wife Yvonne of Somerset, Richard Neilan and his wife Wendy of Somerset, seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Thomas, Robert and Frank Patenaude.

Her Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends invited. Due to current occupancy restrictions, please be mindful that guests may have to wait outside while others pay their respects. Burial private.
