Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Camille and Yvonne (Salva) Roppe, Marie graduated from St. Rocks High School and worked as a Chef at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, CT for many years.
Marie volunteered much of her time at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. She enjoyed cooking and playing bingo at the local senior center.
She is survived by her brother, Raymond Roppe and his wife Solange of Portsmouth, RI; five nieces, Denise Bedard and her husband Mark of Swansea, Carol Ventura of Fall River, Marlene Harrington and her husband Paul of Portsmouth, RI, Monette Notarangelo and her husband Vincent of Tiverton, RI and Martine Parker of Tiverton, RI. Marie was the sister of the late Irene Echard and Edward Roppe and aunt of the late Michael Echard.
Private services are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea, MA 02777.
