

Marvis E. (Floyd) LeSage, age 87, of Swansea, quietly closed her eyes to our earthly world and silently opened a new door to a life everlasting on Monday, January 19, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of Donald F. LeSage to whom she had been married for 65 years.
Born in Dairy, NH, the daughter of the late Carl Floyd and the late Beatrice Henderson, she was a graduate of Drury High School in North Adams, MA.
Mrs. LeSage was involved in many work places including Personal Assistant to United States Congress Woman Margaret Heckler, Director of Heritage State Park, she ran the Tennis Shop at the Somerset Racquet Club, the Planters Barn, Public Relations at the Marine Museum, a Hospice Volunteer, her own business A La Carte, Substitute Teacher at the Gardner School in Swansea and was an interior decorator. She was very active in the Our Lady of Fatima Women’s Guild, the Women’s Club of Fall River, the Quequechan Club and the Cedar Cove Club.
Mrs. LeSage was involved in many community activities and interesting work places, she said “they were all unique and at times fun… but not important…the most important things that I will always treasure and miss is my family. My life was rich and full of family love and friends. I have no regrets, just fond memories”.
The greatest gifts in her life were her husband Don, four wonderful children Kimberley Kirsch LeSage and her husband Richard of Thomasville, NC, Chad LeSage and his wife Diana of Westwood, MA, Reid LeSage and his wife Nathalie of Berkley, MA and Mitchell E. LeSage and his wife Patty of Berkley; 9 adorable grandchildren Shawn, Maggie, Callie, Seth, Reed, Breana, Marc, Jessica and Stephen; a great granddaughter Brooke all who were almost perfect and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. LeSage was also the grandmother of the late Kevin Rougeau and sister of the late Shirley Irace.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT BIRCHCREST 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea followed by her funeral mass at 11AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church 530 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Visiting hours will be Friday from 5 to 8PM. Burial will be private.
