Mary Letourneau

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Manuel Costa and Mary (Cabral) Sousa Costa, she had been a lifelong area resident.

She worked as an inspector for the former Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Fall River. She was a communicant of Santo Christo Church and was dedicated to her family and faith.

She is survived by five grandchildren, Richard H. Townson Jr., Christopher M. Townson, Michael R. Townson and his wife Denise, Patrick J. Townson and his wife Elizabeth, Jennifer L. Doyle and her husband Eric, one sister; Bertha Correia, one brother; Alfred Costa, four great grandchildren; Isaac J. and Theresa M. Townson and Aidan D. and Kellen M. Doyle. She was mother of the late Theresa Townson and sister of the late Manuel, Joseph, and Antone Costa, Louise Posey, Diamondtina Paulino and several nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral will be held Monday, June 6, 2011 at 9:00 AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at BIRCHCREST 189 Gardner’s Neck Road Swansea, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in Santo Christo Church Columbia Street Fall River. Visiting hours prior to her Mass from 9:00 – 10:15 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
