Morris P. Nadeau, “Moe,” age 73, of Swansea, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 unexpectedly at Curahealth Hospital in Stoughton. Born in Fall River, a son of the late Robert and Alice R. (Bigras) Nadeau, he was a lifelong resident of Swansea.
A graduate of Joseph Case High School, Class of 1968, he was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. Moe worked as a Small Engine Repairman in the machine industry prior to his retirement. He was a retired volunteer Fire Fighter for the Town of Swansea.
An active member of the Swansea V.F.W Post #2045, he was past commander and bar manager for many years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed camping, four wheeling and quahogging. Well known for his handy man skills, he always helped whenever needed. Moe loved to socialize and his favorite times spent were with his family whom he adored.
He was the father of Monique Nadeau and her wife Alicia DeCosta of Taunton, longtime companion of Donna Lyne of Swansea; step-son, Jason Lyne and his wife Elizabeth of Somerset; one brother, Robert Nadeau of Swansea; two granddaughters Alexis and Alissa Lyne and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lucille Eckersley.
The family would like to thank his healthcare providers for their compassionate care that they provided at the Brockton, West Roxbury and Jamaica Plains, VA.
His Funeral will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation held prior to his service from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Burial with Military Honors in Vinnicum Woods Cemetery, Swansea.
