Ngoy Thaung, age 72, of Fall River, passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton. She was the wife of Sangirm Im. Born in Takgo, Cambodia, a daughter of the late Qui Thaung and Cang NY, she immigrated to the United States in 1981 and lived in Mobile, Alabama until 1985. In 1985 she moved to Bakersfield, California before moving to Fall River in 2000.
In addition to being a homemaker, she loved to spend time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening.
In addition to her husband she is survived by one daughter, Kim Im and her husband Sarun Kragn of Fall River; one son, Phillip Im of Mobile, AL, twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was the mother-in-law of the late Savuth Kranh.
Due to current restrictions on public gatherings, her funeral service will be private.
