

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Peter Michaluk, Sr. and Julia (Pieciorek) Michaluk, he was a resident of Swansea for 61 years and a member of St. Michael’s Parish, Ocean Grove, now St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, Mr. Michaluk was a Private First Class and received a Purple Heart for his service in the European Theater. He served with General Patch and General Daniels of the Seventh Army and received Four Bronze Stars and was the recipient of the Combat Infantry Badge. He was employed on the Naval Base in Newport, RI as a construction worker for twenty years until his retirement in 1970.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a brother, Paul Michaluk and his wife Hilda of Fall River, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Vidmar, Katherine Sefty, Anna Stasiowski, Stephanie Bailey, Amelia Del Toro, Walter, Andrew, and Michael Michaluk.
His Funeral will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 8:30AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at BIRCHCREST 189 Gardner’s Neck Rd., Swansea followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardner’s Neck Rd., Swansea. Visiting hours prior to his Mass from 8:30 to 9:30AM. Contributions in his honor may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church 270 Ocean Grove Ave., Swansea, MA 02777. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
