Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late William and Ann (Harrop) Hannon. She was a lifelong resident of Swansea and a graduate of Durfee High School. Rita was a homemaker, who enjoyed spending time with family, baking, playing cards, going to the dog races, traveling and shopping at Ann & Hope.
She is survived by three daughters, Ann Davis of Somerset, Donna Ferreira and her late husband Edward of Swansea and Deborah Bolten-Davis and her husband Ron of TX; a son, William Kershaw and his wife Rebekah of Swansea; a step-son Richard Kershaw and his wife Nancy of Westport; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Louise Keenan and sister in-law of Jim Keenan and Nancy Paquin.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 6:30PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea.
