

Born in São Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Manuel Costa Oliveira and Virginia Gil (Raposo) Oliveira.
Roberto dedicated many years of his career to Heritage Healthcare Services, where he retired as Senior District Manager in 2006. A respected and hardworking professional, he made a lasting impact on colleagues and clients alike.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Roberto loved cheering on Sporting and all of the New England sports teams. He had a deep appreciation for all genres of music and found great joy in traveling, particularly to Lisbon, the Azores, and Puerto Rico. Above all, he cherished time spent with his beloved family and friends.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Caroline M. Oliveira-Perdomo and her husband Francisco of San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Ana I. Pacheco and her husband Richard of Swansea. He was a proud grandfather to John R. Seddon, Cristina Perdomo Oliveira and her husband Matthew Morrison, Michael J. Seddon and his wife Andrea, David A. Seddon, and Gabriela Perdomo Oliveira. Roberto also leaves behind his cherished great-grandson, Roman Seddon. He was the nephew of the late Carlos Oliveira of Somerset
He will be fondly remembered by many members of the Matos family, including sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews, as well as all those who were fortunate to know him.
His funeral will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 9:00 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Dominic’s Church, Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, Fall River. Visitation will be held Friday, August 29, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
