

Roger R. Cousineau, age 59, of Swansea, passed away, Saturday, October 6, 2012 peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Pauline E. (Gagnon) Cousineau to whom he has been married for the past 40 years.
Born in Fall River, a son of Romeo T. Cousineau of Swansea and the late Rita (Lemieux) Cousineau, he lived in Fall River before moving to Swansea over 30 years ago.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1970, he received his Rhode Island Department of Labor Certificate of Chain Tool Making from Davies Career and Technical School. He was a toolmaker for American Medical Instruments and prior to that he was a journeyman chain mechanic at the Atlas, Hitchcock, and National Chain Companies.
He was a former member of the Bay State Beagle Club. He enjoyed hunting and watching all movies, especially old ones.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by two sons; Jeffrey Cousineau and his wife Michelle of Austin, TX, and Jason A. Cousineau and his girlfriend Lorena Morazzoni of Tiverton, his mother-in-law; Laurette Gagnon of Swansea, one sister; Janice Dawson and her husband Edward, three brothers, Ronald Cousineau and his wife Claudette, and Dennis Cousineau all of Fall River, and Robert Cousineau and his wife Cheryl of Swansea, three grandchildren; twin girls, Ashley and Renee Cousineau, and Alexander Cousineau all of Austin, TX, and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his whoodle, “Bandit.”
His private services are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, 189 Gardner’s Neck Rd. Swansea. Contributions in his honor may be made to Southcoast V.N.A. Hospice, 200 Mill St., Fairhaven, MA 02719.
