Ronald Silva

Born in Providence, a son of the late Claude M. and Georgina (Oliver) Silva, he spent his youth in East Providence and has been a resident of Swansea since 1980.

A graduate of East Providence High School, he was a member of the Air National Guard.

Ronald worked as a Technician at Brayton Point Station for 47 years and was a member of the America Legion Post 303, Swansea.

He is survived by one daughter, Donna Silva of Swansea; two sons, Gregg and Glenn Silva both of Somerset; one sister, Claudette Moniz; two brothers, Gerry Silva and his wife Lea and James Silva; sister-in-law, Barbara Silva; three grandchildren, Christina Silva, Jonathan and Timothy Underwood and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Brenda-Lee Underwood and brother of the late William, Thomas and George Silva.

His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 8:30 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM St. Francis Xavier Church, 81 North Carpenter St., East Providence, RI.
