He was born in Newport, RI to his mother Dolores (Furtado) Silvia and the late Joseph Silvia. Steve also was survived by his children, son, Christopher Silvia and wife Joann Silvia, son, Brandon Webster and wife Mellanee Webster, and the late Lisa Campbell and Andrea Webster; brother, Wayne Silvia and wife Sharon Silvia, and nieces Leah and Kyna Silvia. He was also a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Danielle and Tyler Campbell, and Hannah and Kylee Webster. He also had a great love for his little furry companion, his Chihuahua Charlie.
He had a passion for always making sure his lawn looked perfect, and anyone who knew him knew how much he loved his tractors. “Vu” was famous for his special touch when it came to the kitchen and his Portuguese stuffing was always the first to go on Thanksgiving Day. Steve was the most kind, generous, hard-working and loving person to everyone, always thinking of others and how he could put a smile on their face. Always the first to offer help, and the last to ask for it. He will forever be remembered by all and will always live in the hearts of those who loved him and had the pleasure of meeting him.
His visitation will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea with a Funeral Service at 7:00 PM. Burial will be private. For tributes and directions, www.waring-sullivan.com.
