Virginia Griffin, 101, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River, MA. She was predeceased by her parents Francis and Lena Pacheco, thirteen siblings, and her husband Francis Griffin. She is survived by her three children, Daniel Griffin and his wife Jeanneen of New Hampshire, John Griffin and his wife Gerry of Ohio and Michelle Griffin of Swansea. She also leaves three grandchildren, Phillip Monty, Carrie O’Brien and Ryan Griffin plus five great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kasey, Collins, Griffin and Logan and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Virginia was a Swansea resident for 75 years where she lived with her husband Francis Griffin to whom she was married for 50 Years. After raising her children, she was employed as a home caregiver in the healthcare industry. She also enjoyed traveling and playing Bingo, but most of all spending time with her family.
Her visitation will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Waring Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea, MA followed by a memorial service at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to the Catholic Memorial Home at 2446 Highland Ave, Fall River, MA 02720.
