Born in Fall River on February 27, 1956, the son of the late William and Claire (Manton) Reynolds, Bill spent many years in Swansea before moving to Florida in 1993, where he made his home for over 30 years.
He was the father of the late Elizabeth A. Reynolds Dratch of Aberdeen, NJ, formerly of Swansea, MA, and Kristen A. Reynolds of Somerset, MA.
Bill is survived by his brothers Timothy Reynolds and his wife Sarah of Swansea; Patrick Reynolds of Somerset; and by his sisters Lori Mendoza and her husband Al of Somerset, Jean Maynard of Somerset, the wife of the late Gordon Maynard, Kelly Dankievitch of Somerset, and Judy Mello of Fall River. He was predeceased by his sister Kathryn A. "Kate" Barboza, the late wife of Lenny Barboza. Bill dedicated at least two decades to the Swansea Fire Department, serving in roles as both a firefighter and dispatcher. He also owned Bill’s Welding in Swansea during the 1980s, having previously worked at Shawmut Metal. After moving to Florida, he founded and operated Eagle Ironworks, continuing his lifelong skill in metal work.
He had a deep love for bass fishing, spending countless hours on the water doing what brought him peace and joy. Above all, Bill shared an incredibly special bond with his dog Breyer, who was always by his side and truly his best friend.
His visitation will be held Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited.
