Zachary T. Dumican

October 20, 1988September 22, 2021

Zachary T. Dumican, age 32, of Swansea, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.

Born in Providence, he was the beloved son of Thomas Dumican and Donna (Estes) Dumican.

Zack worked as a Maintenance Mechanic for Rust-Oleum for several years. Known as a renaissance kid, gifted with a creative beautiful mind, innate intellectual knowledge of everything and anything you could imagine from Nature, Sciences, Physics, History, Theology and more. If Zack didn’t know something, he humbly made certain to learn and was always driven to learn more. A kind, loving human being with a heart of gold. His best quality was possessing an open mind and a strong philosophy to accept all living creatures, both humans and animals alike- his motto was “All things had their purpose on earth”. Zack truly enjoyed sharing his intelligence in these and other areas, as well as his huge heart- with his precious children, niece, nephews, and little cousins.

His favorite pastimes were enjoying various genres of music, reading everything and anything he could, and was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan. In his youth, he was an extremely talented athlete involved in Swansea Little League and a phenomenal football player winning multiple athletic performance awards, many years in a row for his team Warren/Swansea Redskins, Pop Warner.

Besides his parents, Zack is survived by his 2 amazing, smart, beautiful children Jada-Lynn and Landon Dumican; loving sisters, Jennie Dumican- Botelho and Amanda Dumican, brother-in-law Brent Botelho, a FUN loving uncle to Ava and Ashton Botelho, and Dean Richard all of Swansea. He the grandson to 4 very proud grandparents, Charles S. and Carole Dumican of Clearwater, FL and the late Albert T. and Doris Estes of Swansea respectively. Zachary is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who thought the world of him.

Zack’s Funeral Services will be private. His sisters are accepting donations in Zack’s name to set up a college fund for his children Jada-Lynn and Landon.

You were my best friend all through elementary school. I still have our 5th grade year book where you wrote best friends “4 life”. We played countless little league games on the same team and you always picked me first for your team at recess even if I was the chubby kid. Last time I saw you was in 2007 when I was home from school. I heard you weren’t doing great and then turned your life around and I always wanted to reach out to you and catch up and I never did. I regret that so much. If anyone from his family is reading this, could you please reach out to me at id like to get in touch with your dad and I’d like to donate something to your daughters and let them know how loyal you were. Rest In Peace brother

Oh Zack. I have so many memories of you as a child I wouldn’t know where to begin. You know you were always one of my favorites. Your incredible adoring personality, your love of art, relentless activity, the sweetest personality and that beautiful face. What a face. You were such a bright and shining light. I’ll miss you.
All my love goes out to the Dumican and Estes families. Love you, Zack. xo

Donna and Thom,
My sincere condolences for your heartbreak and loss. I was not fortunate to have met your son but from what I’ve read and recently learned it sounds like I missed out.
I hope that the beautiful memories that you made with Zach help you through this time of sadness.
Be well and be strong,

We sure had Memories. Let’s not forget Mark Davis, and Randolph Cunningham lol. There’s just one thing… You never believed how smart.. err Genius you were, how beautiful your face was, your artistic ability, athletic ability; the ability to call out a play and results of that play in any given sport. I’m still in shock, but just wrote my baby brothers obituary- I think the shock is protecting me to be strong for mom and dad, and our babies- yours included. I regret nothing, I’ll continue to fight for your name. Thank you for being my perfectly imperfect brother.
Love, Jennie
