Annabelle Bugden Knight

After a long and fulfilling life, Annabelle Knight passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Miners Memorial Manor, Sydney Mines.

Born in Sydney Mines, November 28, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Orlando Charles and Ida Minnie (Jenkins) Bugden. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Annabelle was a longtime member of Trinity Anglican Church and Anglican Church Women. She was a 50 year member of the church choir, a longtime member of Harbourview Hospital Auxiliary and a founding member of Board of Directors Miners’ Manor.

She is survived by her sons Roy (Mary MacIntosh) and Keith (Janet Hart); granddaughters Arleen (Glenn) Hetherington and Sara (Craig) Knisley, great grandsons Daniel, Connor, Christopher and great granddaughter Teagen.

Annabelle was predeceased by her husband Joseph, brothers Albert, Lenard, William, Chesley and sisters Reta Bonnar, Pearl Reardon, Lily Roberts and Violet Pye.

Visitation for the late Mrs. Knight will take place on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 2 pm at Trinity Anglican Church with Rev. Peter Rafuse officiating. Interment in Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines.
