Allan, Lennus and Jason.... we are so sorry for your loss. We had the pleasure of getting to know you all as students, and it was a pleasure indeed because in so doing we were getting to know some of the kindest and gentlest human beings you could meet. Kim didn't ask a great deal of life, and it was clear that her people were most important to her. Hopefully you each have a plentiful supply of fond memories that will remain with you and help to ease the pain of your loss. Sincerely, Betty and Graham Menzies

Sometimes an obituary can really bring you up short. This is one of those. Kimmie, as I remember we called her, was one of our childhood friends. Her dad, Lawrence, was from Tarbot and he worked at the garage next to our house. He spoke with a strong "down north" accent (that Dad called the "long talk") and was a family friend. So we (myself and my sisters) knew their kids Lennus, Allan and Kimberley because they would be around the garage where their Dad worked. Kimmie was the youngest (this was before their next brother was born) and she was this happy little girl running around with the rest of us. Really nice kid. I remember Kimmie had really picked up her dad's accent. Obviously we all grew up, and went our different ways. From time to time I think back and wonder where everyone ended up (I occasionally see Lennus on Facebook). So to see this obituary today is very sad. My deepest condolences to Lennus, Allan and all her family. God bless and protect her. RIP
