Margaret Elizabeth Fitzgerald

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Margaret Elizabeth Fitzgerald, who passed away on October 24, 2012 at Buchanan Memorial Hospital, Neil’s Harbour.

Born in Neil’s Harbour she was the daughter of the late Pearl and Mary (Ashford) Budge.

Margaret loved being a homemaker, spending time with her grandchildren and making her family happy. For many years Margaret worked as a cook at Highland Manor and in later years she enjoyed lobster fishing with her husband Timothy.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy; daughter, Corinne Briand, New Haven; sons, Robert (Brenda), New Haven, Dwayne (Andrea), Cole Harbour and Ricky, Grand Prairie, Alberta; brother, Robert ‘Bob’ (Marlene) Budge, Neil’s Harbour; grandchildren, Amy, Vanna, James, Elizabeth, Megan, Colton, T.J., Emma and Lillie and her canine friend, Cody.

We would like to thank the staff at Buchanan Memorial Hospital and the palliative care doctors and nurses for the kindness and care given to Margaret over the past few months.

In lieu of flowers donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to the North of Smokey Palliative Care Unit.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 29 at St. Andrews Anglican Church, Neil’s Harbour, Rev. Warren Huestis will officiate. Interment in parish cemetery.
