We the family regret to announce the passing of our loving mother and grandmother Mary Rosalie (Donovan) Harrison, on May 12, 2020.

Born on August 8, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Rita (Burke) Donovan.

She is survived by her children David (Christine) Harrison, Debbie (Keith) Dowling, Darlene Kingsley, Wayne Harrison, Kevin Harrison, Lee (Kennedy) Ashford, her only surviving sister Lorraine Fraser, grandchildren; Gordon, Catherine, Robert, Elaine, Patricia, Joeseph, Lee, James, Gelisa, Britany, Jessica, Desiree, Mary Catherine and Crystal Lynn, 17 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sons, Thomas Harrison and Glen Harrison, grandsons, Duane and Jeffery, great granddaughter, Lexi Lee Taylor, brothers Doug, Ted, Lon, Everett, Greg, Harold, Sheldon and sisters, Helen, Evelyn and Patsy.

The family would like to thank the staff of Buchanan Memorial Hospital for their kindness and compassion.

There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home, 8 Clyde Ave, Sydney Mines, NS. If desired, donations in Mary’s memory can be made to Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton, or a charity of choice. Memories and condolences can be shared with Mary’s family by visiting
