Nancy was a unique woman. She was a teacher, a student, a lover of reading and music. She could lighten up a room with a sharp one-liner or a big guffaw. The next moment she’d say something profound that would make you think for hours.
There were times in her life when Nancy was dealt some personal and professional challenges. Although hurt emotionally and physically, she persevered, relying on her faith and those around her to get her through. She spent many years molding young minds as a teacher in the Catholic school system in Toronto and for a short time with the Cape Breton School Board. Nancy leaves behind many friends and family in her hometown of Toronto and her adopted hometown of Florence.
A funeral mass will be announced at a later date. Memories and condolences can be shared with the family by visiting fillmoreandwhitman.com.
Godspeed Nancy. Be good until we can laugh together again.
