It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Sheldon Vaughan Jude LeRoy at the young age of 54 with his rock Rachel Halfpenny, son Sebastian Halfpenny-Leroy, sister-in-law Marsha Johnston and cousin Cathy MacKenzie by his side.
Sheldon was the man, the myth, the legend of his hometown. He was an advocate for the federal jail system for helping inmates who needed their prescribed methadone while incarcerated. When he found out he was going to become a father to his beautiful talented son Sebastian, he stood his ground and made sure it was granted in the jails so his fellow mates including himself would have the proper care they needed while inside.
Sheldon was very protective over his loved ones. He was the kindest soul and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. The world will be a different place without him but until we meet again, we all have lots of beautiful memories to cherish forever that will bring some comfort to the sadness of his presence not being on earth. He will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him especially his last living brother Ray. "See you on the other side brother."
Sheldon was predeceased by his father Donnie; mother Emmaline; brothers Donnie, Jackie, Darryl, Jimmie; and David at infancy and sisters Margaret and Lynn. Also waiting at the gates with opened arms are his nephews Brian, Zachary, Dayton, and niece Natacha.
He leaves behind his sisters Glenda LeRoy, Lisa (Dave) Robertson, Sherry (John) Liang and brother Ray (Marsha) LeRoy, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and his beautiful children whom he loved so very much along with their loving mothers.
