CAPSTICK, Thomas E.

On July 21, 2019, the best guy in the world gained his wings. It’s with sadness I announce his passing, Thomas Everett Capstick Jr, at the age of 72.

Born September 4, 1946, he was the son of the late Everett and Margaret (Jobe) Capstick.

He was a kind and humble man who had an infectious laugh and always had a joke to tell. He loved to spread joy and make people laugh.

Thomas worked as a coal miner in the Prince Mine for 25+ years before retiring. He was also a member of local 92.

Thomas was a family man and leaves behind two daughters, Crystal (Hector & Chantal), Lynn, one grandson Austin, 7 sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by one brother, Peter Joseph.

In keeping with Thomas’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. If desired, donations in his memory can be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation. Online condolences can be sent to family by visiting www.fillmoreandwhitman.com

Those we love can never be more than a thought away, as long as there’s a memory, in my heart you will always stay.

My heartfelt condolences to Veenie's family. I have so many memories. He had always been a fixture in my life. I remember when I first dated. My hubby was that date. Veenie would tease the hell outta him. Going to family wedding dances over the years. Heaven has gained the best guy ever. He'll have all our family who have passed roaring with his jokes.
We at least have our memories.
