Arthur Bennett, 84 of 141 Cornwallis Street, Sydney passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late John and Lillian (Joseph) Bennett.
He was a member of St. Theresa’s parish, Sydney and worked at Sydney Steel Plant for 40 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Musician’s Union and also repaired TVs on the side.
He is survived by 3 sons, Roddie, Harold and Gordon, sisters Marion, Joan, Patricia, Helen; brothers Clarence ‘Buddy’, George ‘Georgie’, Anthony ‘Tony’ and several grandchildren.
He was predeceased by brothers Rudy and Frankie, sister Mary and former wife Violet (Kaloc).
There will be no visitation for Mr. Bennett. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
