Celia M. Lorway- I have been looking for you and I was not ready to hear the news that you are no longer with us 🥲 I have cried my eyes out I can’t believe you are gone… I watched your obituary tribute and was moved to see a picture of me in it which tells me you never forgot me just like I never forgot you ❤️

Every so often in life you meet people who give you “impactful” advice on your life. Celia was one of those people. Living in Sydney, Canada during my University days, many miles away from home Celia was so Mumsy and loving. An immigrant herself she knew the struggles one felt being far away from home. She natured me, comforted me and showed me love.

When I was contemplating leaving Canada she said to me fondly- Bangi there’s so much of the world you still need to see and explore, fly and spread those wings.

Celia- I am flying! Thankyou for everything, love you! Rest well with the angels ❤️😘🙏🏾

Celia was a human being unlike any that I have encountered. Her capacity for compassion and resolve toward work ethic were admirable to say the least. They are without question still present, among her many other qualities and quirks, in those whose lives she so deeply touched throughout the years. 
Her passing is a heavy loss, but her memory brings me joy. Many Christmas dinners and lively discussions were had at her table- what a cook! But the hours of chatter about the many facets of life and growing up, along with lively debates and wise, sometimes much-needed advice will always be the most memorable and touching moments spent at the house, followed by a dream-like food coma in which comfort and warmth were always prevalent. I am so grateful to have those memories; those happy pockets of time that will always reside in my mind. 
Heartfelt condolences to all of Celia's family and friends who have suffered a great loss. My thoughts are with you.

Sorry I didn't make it to your Mom's wake or funeral as we were away. I enjoyed my visits with her last summer as she was recovering---also with Verne and Robert. Your Mom was so sociable and so very giving. You were all so good to her and she so appreciated it. Enjoyed your picture gallery-- a nice story of her life----and her little granddaughters are so cute. She is sure missed---but in a happy place.

Sharing space at the Regional Hospital and again at the Rehabilitation Centre in Sydney Mines gave the families of Charles & Sharon and of Celia to know one another quite well. It was a definite pleasure to feel the warmth and generosity of Celia's spirit and of her caring. Charles had known her at the University as well, where she was so well respected. You children did her proud in your devotion and care during her illness. She'll now watch over you and yours from her final resting place. May she rest in peace.

Greatest sympathy to the Lorway family for the passing of one of my greatest teachers, a true friend and most of all a mother. You were like a mother to me and my wife. Part of what we are today is thanks to you. We will mourn you till we join you in the eternity. Rest In Peace mama Lucia.
