

Celia Murline Lorway was born in Layou, St. Vincent and the Grenadines on December 10th 1944 of Dorothy Bowman and William Benjamin Charles, and died peacefully in her home in Sydney with her daughter Verne at her bedside on May 6th, 2017.
Celia was predeceased by her parents and her older sisters Zina Garraway, Mavis Hadaway, and Verna Ijoma.
Her living family members include her brother Winston (Sandra) Charles, sister Monica Bowman and their families; her son Charles (Kelly), daughter Verne, son Robert, daughter Norah, their father Charles and by her precious grand-daughters Ava and Alyssa Lorway.
Celia was a registered nurse and philosopher of health who was active in the university and larger community through numerous work and volunteer activities. Her contagious laughter and endless compassion for others will live on in those who knew her well.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 12th at TW Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George Street, Sydney from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Sydney River at 11 am Saturday, May 13th with Fr. Bill Burke officiating.
